Biblical Education, Grounded in the Garden

At God Grown Academy, we desire to nurture a generation that views stewardship not just as a responsibility, but as a form of worship

Our Programs

Our classes are thoughtfully divided by grade level, each with its name reflecting the journey of growth from seedling to harvest. Classes may be combined depending on the number of children enrolled.

Roots

Four-year-olds to Kindergarten

Young learners explore God's creation through simple gardening tasks, seasonal crafts, and discovering the wonders of nature.

Shoots

First to Third Grade

Students build on their curiosity with hands-on farm chores, observing wildlife, and learning the basics of stewardship.

VINES

Fourth to Sixth Grade

Growing in knowledge, students engage in more complex tasks like composting, building birdhouses, and understanding local ecosystems.

Branches

Seventh to Eighth Grade

Adolescents deepen their skills with projects like greenhouse management and navigating by natural landmarks.

Harvesters

Ninth to Twelfth Grade

Our oldest students explore advanced topics such as sustainable beekeeping, wildcrafting, food preservation, and herbal medicines.

From seedling to harvest, there’s a place for you in the garden

Curriculum Overview

The Curriculum for our students at God Grown Academy introduces them to God's creation through hands-on, experiential lessons in regenerative farming and Biblical teachings. Specifically designed for each group of students, this curriculum fosters a love for God, His Word, and His world by connecting the cycles of seasons and nature to spiritual growth. Lessons emphasize regenerative farming practices, such as no-till methods, soil health, composting, cover crops, water efficiency, planting, harvesting, preservation, winterizing, healthy ecosystems, biodiversity, beekeeping, and animal husbandry, while weaving in Scripture to highlight character qualities like patience, kindness, and gratitude. Through classroom lessons, storytelling, garden activities, and nature exploration, students discover that every leaf, lesson, and life holds a place in God's redemptive story.

Curriculum Goals

Spiritual Formation

Plant the truth of God's Word in students' hearts, connecting farming practices to Biblical principles and character qualities (e.g., patience, kindness, trust).

Experiential Learning

Engage students in hands-on activities like planting, harvesting, caring for animals, and observing nature to foster curiosity and a love for learning.

Regenerative Stewardship

Introduce no-till farming, soil health, composting, and biodiversity, teaching students how animals contribute and how to care for God's creation as an act of worship.

Community Building

Strengthen relationships through shared garden and homestead tasks, group activities, and reflection, emphasizing kindness and cooperation.

Nature Connection

Help students see God's purposeful and personal design in creation, from seeds to ecosystems.
